Cashing Out

Common Good credit has value and acts like money because we agree to accept it as payment for our good and services, so it moves from member to member to member as a token of exchange. When someone pays you in Common Good credit, you can spend those funds — OR you can "cash it out" by transferring it to your bank account or exchanging it for US Dollars.

You can cash out Common Good credit that someone pays you, but any Common Good credit you borrow, using your credit line, must continue to circulate within the Common Good system. You cannot cash it out — you can only spend it.

You can help keep the Common Good system healthy by maintaining a positive balance most of the time.
